Elestee, who was previously known as Lifesize Teddy, grew up in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Her birth name is Treasure Apiafi Banigo, and she began writing music at the age of 9. In 2018, she had her first big break when she opened for Ladipoe, another artist from Mavin, at one of his shows. After spending three years in the academy that has produced many of Africa’s top stars, Elestee was introduced as Mavin’s newest signee in 2023.
