Crayon is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter, born Charles Chibueze Chukwu in Lagos, Nigeria. He was discovered by producer Baby Fresh and signed to Blowtime Entertainment, an imprint of Mavin Records, in 2019, after overcoming significant financial hardship and failed university entrance exams. His music blends Afrobeats with pop and highlife, with notable works including his debut EP “Cray Cray” (2019), the single “Ijo (Laba Laba)” (2022), and his 2023 debut album “Trench to Triumph”.
