“Hyzah,” is a 22-year-old who enjoys Nigerian genres like Apala and Fuji, and other sounds like trap, soul, and ‘90s Afrobeat. Born and raised in the inner-city Lagos, “Hyzah’s” life is heavily influenced by the fast paced lifestyle of the city.
He worked as a cobbler until 2021 when a video of him freestyling went viral and caught the attention of Canadian popstar, Drake. This attention led to features in Complex, Uproxx, and HipHopDX, and to more attention form other artists like “The Game,” “Olamide,” “Zlatan,” and “Russ.”
