On a Spaceship is Burna Boy’s second studio album, released on November 25, 2015, through his own label, Spaceship Entertainment. The project spans around 69 minutes and features a wide roster of artists, including Wizkid, Wande Coal, Phyno, Flavour, and AKA, among others.

Musically, the album sees Burna Boy navigating a broad spectrum of sound ranging from Afrobeats, dancehall, and afro-fusion also with many producers contributing, such as Sarz, Spellz, Orbeat, and others. The cover art, featuring Burna Boy with a space helmet, visually evokes a sense of loneliness, separation, and a new journey

However, in retrospect, the album is seen as a crucial transitional body of work. It proved that Burna Boy could manage his own output and experiment with different genres.
