Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, better known as Efya, is a Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and actress from Kumasi, also known as the “Queen of Afro-Soul.” She is the daughter of Nana Adwoa Awindor, a filmmaker and celebrity host of the television show Greetings From Abroad.
She rose to fame on the talent show Stars of the Future and became a household name for her powerful, soulful voice. Efya won the Ghana Music Awards’ Best Female Vocalist title four years in a row. Famous for hits like “Best In Me” and “Skin Tight,” she is loved for her unique blend of jazz, soul, and pop music.
