Cruel Santino, real name Osayaba Andrew Ize-Iyamu, is a Nigerian alternative singer-songwriter, rapper, and director who is a prominent figure in the country’s “alté” music scene.
He began his career in 2011 on SoundCloud as a rapper under the name Ozzy B. He later changed his stage name to Santi in 2016 and gained critical acclaim in the Nigerian and British alternative music scenes, notably with his track “Rapid Fire”. In 2020, he adopted his current moniker, Cruel Santino, due to copyright issues with the name “Santi”.
