Born Ange Didier Houon (1986–2019), DJ Arafat was the legendary Ivorian “King of Coupé-Décalé.” He was raised in a musical family and began DJing at age 14 in Abidjan. In his 15-year music career, he has released 11 albums. His most famous songs include the career-launching “Jonathan,” high-energy tracks like “Kpangor” and “Zoropoto,” and more recent global favorites like “Dosabado” and “Enfant Béni”. His 2019 smash hit “Moto Moto” broke streaming records before his passing following a motorcycle accident.
