Habib Koité is a Malian guitarist, singer, and composer born in 1958, renowned for blending traditional Malian music with modern rock and pop influences. He grew up in a griot family, learning music from a young age, and founded his band Bamada in 1988. Koité’s international career launched in the 1990s with his solo album Muso Ko and has since seen him collaborate with numerous global artists and gain recognition from publications like Rolling Stone.
