L.I.F.E. (an acronym for Leaving an Impact for Eternity) was released on August 12. Burna Boy’s debut studio album, issued via Aristokrat Records. The album was produced entirely by Leriq and features appearances from major Nigerian artists like Wizkid, 2face Idibia, Olamide, and Timaya.
Musically, L.I.F.E explores a rich blend of Afrobeat, dancehall, ragga, and fuji. Stand-out tracks like “Like to Party,” “Tonight,” “Run My Race,” and “Yawa Dey” became instant anthems, helping the album sell over 40,000 copies on its first day.
Beyond its commercial success, L.I.F.E. established Burna Boy as a force to be reckoned with in African music. It showcases his ability to mix street-smarts and musical craftsmanship while hinting at the global sound he would later adopt.
