Judah The E.P.

Album by M.I. Abaga

7 songs • 28 minutes • 2020

Coming at a pivotal moment in M.I. Abaga’s career, Judah The E.P. stands as one of his most personal and revealing bodies of work. Released in 2020 as a prelude to The Guy, the project captures a version of M.I. wrestling with loyalty, legacy, betrayal, strength, and rebirth.

The title Judah pays homage to his late father, Pastor Abaga of the House of Judah, and the project leans heavily on themes of family, spiritual grounding, brotherhood, and the forging of a new tribe.

Across the project, M.I. collaborates with familiar allies and new voices, from AQ to Nawe, Alpha Ojini, Kauna, and others, using every feature as an emotional extension of the theme.

Tracks like “The Warrior,” dedicated to his father, carry the weight of generational courage. “The Tribe” expands the conversation toward community, loyalty, and the people who stand beside you when reputation is tested. “The Sacrifice” featuring Nawe blends raw honesty with spiritual undertones, exploring what one must give up to become who they’re meant to be.

“The Commandment” dives into discipline, moral grounding, and personal principles. At the same time, “The Blood”, one of the EP’s emotional centers, unpacks loyalty, betrayal, and the painful reality of realizing not everyone who calls you “blood” will fight for you.

In the end, Judah EP is both a tribute and a transformation. A tribute to the people who shaped him. A farewell to the season that broke him. And a transformation into the version of M.I. that stands today.
