“THE TRENCHES,” is “ODUMODUBLVCK’S” second studio album, dropping at what seems to be a sensitive time of his life. While his first album focused heavily on him and his thick determination to make it big, this album focuses more on social problems like the economic, social and cultural decay in Nigeria.
In the first track, “FAKE POLITICIANS,” he calls out the nonchalance of many to the problems of the country. Then in “FRUITHFUL YOUTH,” he calls out the politicians himself. He delves into more personal, yet deeper problems with “REAL MODU,” where he reveals the persecution he endured at birth, and a hint of the trauma his mother carries.
