Blackmagic, born Efemena Mukoro, is a pioneering Nigerian alternative artist who blends hip-hop, soul, and Afropop. He rose to prominence under Syndik8 Records before launching his independent label, Based on Belief. His most famous songs include the critically acclaimed hit “Repete,” “Confam,” and “Africa.” He has released several influential albums, most notably Blackmagic 1.0, Version 2.0, and Version 3.0.
