A true child of ‘Babi’ (short for Abidjan), Didi B was born into a family of artists with a producer and pianist father and a choreographer mother. With feisty lyrics, impressive stage presence, and polished aesthetic, Bassa Zéréhoué Diyilem embodies the rise of hip-hop and urban music in Côte d’Ivoire. Spotted in a Meiway music video at age three, he gained fame with the collective Kiff No Beat in 2009. His solo career launched in 2019 with ‘Assinie’. In April 2025, he released “Diyilem & Bazarhoff: Genius,” a 21-track double album blending hip-hop, trap, and Afro-urban music.
