Emeka Ejechi, known professionally by his stage name “Hotyce,” is a fast-rising Nigerian rapper and songwriter. As a kid, he was influenced by musical acts like “Tupac Shakur,” “Dr. Dre,” “Snoop Dogg,” “Sade Adu,” “Nas,” “Fela Kuti,” etc. In High school, he was known for rapping to the beat of these top artistes and soon, he started writing his own songs.
In 2015, he won ‘16 Bars,’ an underground rap battle league in Abuja. Later, he released the rap single, 10 O’clock in VGC which he was inspired to write while on a trip from Abuja to Lagos.
