“Moti Cakes” (born Motolani Awokoya) is a prominent Nigerian musician, DJ, music A&R, and producer. He is a well-known figure in the Nigerian music industry and has collaborated with several major artists. He was born in Chicago, USA. “Moti Cakes” grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, where he attended Greensprings School. He later earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Miami business school and trained as a sound engineer at “Afterhours Studios” in Miami Beach with producer Hal Batt.
