“Pa Monday-Edo” is a veteran Nigerian musician, also known as Monday Igbinidu, who is the original owner of the song “(Ogbaisi),” which was remixed by singer Shallipopi into “(Obapluto).” The remix, which featured a sample of “Pa Monday Edo’s” voice, became a popular Afrobeats hit. The veteran artist sued Shallipopi for copyright infringement, seeking N200 million in damages and a public apology for using his work without permission.
