Seun Kuti is a Nigerian Afrobeat musician, the son of the legendary Nigerian musician and political activist, Fela Kuti, who led the band Egypt 80. Born in 1983, he began performing with his father’s band at the age of nine and became its leader after Fela’s passing in 1997. Kuti is recognized for continuing his father’s legacy through music and social activism. He has released several albums, including “Many Things” (2008) and “Black Times” (2018), which earned him a Grammy nomination.
