“Sunny Neji” hails from Ishibori in Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria. He ventured into recording and immediately earned a reputation as a unique voice on radio jingles and TV commercials. He released his debut album, “Captain,” on EMI in 1991. He joined Colours Band and performed as the lead singer for five years. In 1997, he released his sophomore set, “Mr. Fantastik,” which won many key awards.
He was a GLO Ambassador, CHI Ambassador, KORA award winner for the Best West African Artist in 2005, COSON song of the decade winner, and a United Nations Peace Ambassador.
