Terry Apala is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer known for blending traditional Yoruba Apala music with genres like hip-hop, Afrobeats, and R&B, a style he calls “Apala Hip Hop”. Born Terry Alexandar Ejeh on October 31, 1988, he grew up in Lagos and began his musical journey early as a church drummer. He rose to prominence after releasing his 2015 single “Boda Sodiq” and has since received accolades, including “Best Music Cover of the Year” for his 2017 cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You”
