Lerato Molapo, known as Lira, is a famous singer from South Africa. She was born in 1979 and grew up in Johannesburg. Her music blends jazz, soul, and African sounds. She has many hit albums, including All My Love (2003), Feel Good (2006), and Soul in Mind (2008). Later works, such as “Return to Love” (2011) and “Born Free” (2016), also became popular. After a stroke in 2022, she bravely worked to recover her speech. She returned to performing in 2024.
