Nkosazana Nolwazi Kimberly Nzama, known professionally as Nkosazana Daughter, is a South African vocalist, singer, and songwriter born on 6 October 2000. Nkosazana is one of the many artists who DJ Maphorisa’s contribution to the music industry has been a blessing to DJ Maphorisa. Nkosazana started initially as a poet during her time at university, before aligning with music and releasing “Mirror” and “Bekezela” in 2019. She only came into the spotlight around July 2021 when the late Mpura introduced her to Maphorisa in an Instagram Live, describing her as “the next hitmaker.”
