Kauna, full name Kauna Adebisi, is an American-Nigerian singer who comes from a family with a strong musical background. Her father is Bola Adebisi, a veteran J.Town (Jos, Nigeria, artist who was a significant influence and mentor in the early careers of M.I. Abaga and his brother, Jesse Jagz. M.I. Abaga has publicly acknowledged that Bola Adebisi “literally changed my life” by providing a studio space that allowed them to start making music.
