Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe, known mononymously as “Tinashe,” is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Tinashe moved to Pasadena, California, as a child, where she pursued work in entertainment. “Tinashe” emerged into mainstream success with her 2014 major label debut single, “2 On” (featuring Schoolboy Q). The song peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 and served as the lead single for her debut studio album Aquarius (2014), which debuted at number 17 on the US Billboard 200.
