“Daecolm” was born in Zimbabwe. At six months old, he and his family moved to South London. As a teenager, he taught himself to play the piano and was encouraged to pursue music by his father. Soon after, he began writing songs and, after an Amapiano remix of “Under the Influence,” he was discovered by “Chris Brown.” He later wrote for “Adekunle Gold,” “Ayra Starr,” “Wizkid,” “Trey Songz,” and “Craig David,” among others.
