Nigerian global sensation CKay has delivered his most refined and intentional release to date with “CKay The Second,” a 6-track masterpiece that dropped on June 13, 2025. This highly anticipated EP marks both a return to his roots and a bold step forward in his artistic evolution, cementing his position as the pioneer of “Emo-Afrobeats.”
“CKay The Second” serves as a direct sequel to CKay’s breakthrough 2019 project “CKay The First,” which spawned the global phenomenon “Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah).” The timing is no coincidence – CKay is deliberately connecting his past with his present, showing fans how much he’s grown while staying true to his signature sound.
“I was at a stage of my life where I felt like I had to shed off some old skin and step into a new phase,” CKay explains. “The headspace was basically to communicate that the first EP was to assert ‘I am the first CKay,’ and the second is the continuation of that.”
