Edward Christopher Sheeran is an English singer-songwriter. Born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk, he began writing songs around the age of eleven. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play No. 5 Collaborations Project. He signed with Asylum Records the same year.
He is renowned for his “Mathematics” album series. He used + to add to his early work, ร to multiply his reach, รท to showcase diverse styles, = to reflect on fatherhood, and โ for stripped-back acoustic tracks. By 2025, he sold over 200 million records and launched a new era with his eighth studio album, “Play.” Sheeran remains one of the world’s best-selling artists, celebrated for his versatile folk-pop sound.
