Mamapiano sees Yemi Alade successfully diving into the burgeoning South African Amapiano sound, blending it with her signature Afropop and Highlife flair. Following an extensive international tour, Alade presented the project as a “playlist gift” to set the mood for the end of the year.
The EP features a collaboration with Ajebo Hustlers (“EFCC”) and explores themes of faith and self-affirmation (“Amazing Grace”), alongside high-energy party tracks (“Ladies (Get Up)” and “Ogini”).
Critically, the EP was praised for its focused, dance-oriented energy, reaffirming her versatility and ability to consistently adapt to continental music trends.
