April 10, 2020, was peak lockdown chaos, and Teni was not about to let everyone suffer in silence. She partnered with DJ Neptune to drop “The Quarantine Playlist,” a four-track EP that turned isolation into a love story. Tracks like “Morning” talk about loving your partner every minute without season, appreciating every aspect of them, while “Isolate” and “Lockdown” reframe social distancing as an excuse for uninterrupted romance time. The mostly mid-tempo project features production from Tempoe, P. Prime, and Dëra, creating laid-back Afrobeats vibes perfect for those uncertain pandemic days. “Mine” closes the EP with pop genre energy about caging your lover with affection so you don’t lose them. Teni’s playful vocals and relatable themes made this the comfort project we all needed during quarantine.
