Riddim 5

After an impressive 2021 with top-chart singles, Fave confidently stated that 2021 was crazy and 2022 would be crazier. She backed that energy with “Riddim 5,” her debut EP released in January 2022. Fave explains the title came from all the songs giving her a riddim vibe, something sweet with a very nice groove she calls absolutely bonkers. The five-track project explores Gen-Z love through tracks like “Obsessed” about intense infatuation, “S.M.K” and “Mr Man” demanding communication and commitment, and “Kilotufe” confronting those who only appear after success. Production credits go to Kris Beatz, Niphkeys, Produca Wa, Saszy Afroshii, and Damie, creating a cohesive Afropop, R&B, and dancehall fusion that solidified Fave’s rising voice in African music.
