Africa’s celebrated rapper, “Ice Prince,” drops his third studio album, “Fire And Ice,” after a six-year break. The album is proof that even when Ice Prince might have vacationed away from the booth, his creativity, talent, and ability to excite the fans remained.
The Nigerian rap industry has changed since the legendary rapper’s last album, but Ice Prince proves his street and industry smarts are in tip-top shape by his well-updated sound and lyrics, even by smart collaborations with high-flying rappers.
From the first track in the album, the “Intro,” where he apologizes to his die-hard fans for the radio silence, to the final track with CKay, “Shakara,” Ice re-cements his status as a legendary rapper in the Nigerian and African scene.
