“Lagos Nawa” (2017) is Olamide’s seventh studio album released on November 17, 2017, through YBNL Nation. Subtitled “Wobe Sound,” the album consists of 17 tracks rooted in street-oriented Afrobeats. The project was primarily produced by hitmaker Young Jonn, known for his signature “Wobe sound,” with Olamide producing one track himself.
The album boasts several guest features, including collaborations with Tiwa Savage, Phyno, Timaya, and Reminisce. It features the massive hit single “Wo!!”, which was a dominant force in Nigerian music at the time of release and remains one of Olamide’s most popular songs. Other tracks like “Saysaymarley” demonstrate Olamide’s versatility, blending classic reggae influences with his indigenous flow. “Lagos Nawa!” resonated deeply with fans for its authenticity and high-energy anthems. It also captured Baddo’s energy and his undeniable connection to Lagos life.
