“Wilmer” is the second studio album by Nigerian Reggae/Dancehall superstar Patoranking. Released in 2019, the project serves as a deeply personal and thematic continuation of his musical journey, following his successful 2016 debut, God Over Everything.
The central theme of the album is beautifully captured in the opening track, “Wilmer” (featuring Bera). The song is an emotional love letter that transcends romance, expressing the deep, adoring love Patoranking feels for his child. This dedication sets a loving and intimate tone for the 12-track project.
The diverse sound is amplified by collaborations with artists from across the continent and beyond, solidifying Patoranking’s international appeal. Tracks like “Nakupenda” featuring Kenyan singer Nyashinski,” Zero Problémé” that features French singer Dadju, and “Open Fire” featuring South African House artist Busiswa.
