Vector’s album, “VIBES BEFORE TESLIM: The Journey to Self Discovery,” marked a significant turning point in his career. Released in November 2019, this 10-track album, which runs for 28 minutes, came four years after his third album, “Lafiaji.” Many consider it to be his most reflective and cohesive work to date.
The project serves as a precursor to his fifth album, T.E.S.L.I.M. Tracks like “Your Biology Is Sending You To Hell” don’t sugarcoat how vices mess with your mental health, while “Comfort” featuring Davido gave us the feel-good vibes we needed. Other standout songs include “Vector’s Vibe,” “OJA,” “Mind Games,” and “The Man With A Gun” featuring BrisB, which tackle real Nigerian stories.
Vector discusses love, relationships, and the downsides of vices while using his life as a demonstration for his teachings and admitting to being an imperfect human. The album features collaborations with Davido, Slimcase, DJ Niyor, BrisB, and YinxDjinx, with production showcasing Vector’s versatility across different sounds.
