Seven years after dropping his first album, Davido came back with “A Good Time,” and you can hear the difference. This one’s smoother, bigger, and chasing a global sound. He lined up 17 tracks, stacked with some huge names: Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Gunna, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, plus a bunch of Nigerian artists.
Davido talked about the album as a snapshot of his life, packed with everything from heartbreak to new beginnings. The music just feels good; lots of Afropop, some dancehall vibes on tracks like “Risky” with Popcaan, and those classic love songs like “Assurance.”
There’s plenty for the club, but he doesn’t shy away from slower, R&B-inspired moments either. It’s like he’s showing off both sides: the guy who gets the party started and the one who’s got something real to say. “A Good Time” isn’t just another record for Davido.
