The Cavemen are a Nigerian highlife band consisting of brothers Kingsley and Benjamin Okorie, who merge Afrobeats, jazz, and soul music with highlife to create “highlife fusion”. The duo was formed in March 2018 after being discovered by Lady Donli. Kingsley, a lawyer, plays bass and keyboard, while Benjamin is a drummer, and they gained recognition for their live performances and won the Best Alternative Album award at the 2020 Headies for their debut album, “Roots.”
