It feels like we have been given a snippet of the past trauma of Fireboy DML in “24.” The lyrics paint a picture of a man who has loved and lost and now wishes they hadn’t loved at all, at least not in the manner they had. The track also doubles as a love letter as Fireboy affirms himself and reminds himself of his love.
