“Wuru Wuru” is the fifth track from Shoday’s debut EP, BRKFST, released in 2024. “Wuru Wuru” leans into Eastern Nigerian Highlife influences. It features a melodic, guitar-driven rhythm that feels grounded and traditional yet fits within the modern Afro-pop world. While much of the BRKFST EP focuses on success and celebration, “Wuru Wuru” attempts to bring a bit more grit and social commentary to the project.
